About Meridian Manor

Meridian Manor Bed and Breakfast welcomes visitors to Washington, DC, with the charm and warmth of a private home B&B. We offer guests a choice of 6 guestrooms or a furnished private entranced apartment. Built in 1890, the house reflects typical brick Row House construction found here in Washington. Renovations bring today‘s conveniences such as central air-conditioning, wireless Internet access and color televisions with cable to each room, and ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxed.

We are centrally located in Washington’s Dupont Circle neighborhood, just north of the circle proper at 16th Street and U. Streets.(Map this location now) Meridian Hill Park, memorial to President James Buchanan, is diagonally across the street. The U. Street area of Dupont Circle has recently undergone an extensive revival. Visitors will find many hip restaurants and nightclubs, along with staples such as Starbuck’s Coffee, Result’s Gym, family style restaurants, and neighborhood shopping. Washington’s Metro (subway) is available 3 blocks from the home with a short 2 stops to Washington’s new Convention Center, and a total of 4 stops dropping you centrally on the National Mall for the Monuments and Smithsonian Museums. A major bus line traveling to the White House, and K. Street business district is available at the corner in front of the home and taxis can be flagged directly in front of the house. We are also within easy walking distance to the Washington Hilton Towers convention hotel, yet with much better rates! Map This Location

Guests are invited to a gourmet continental plus breakfast served each morning. A choice of cereals, fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, gourmet coffee a choice of juices, assorted cheeses, or smoked salmon. Breakfast is available from 7:30am until 10am. Guests may dine informally in the kitchen or more formally in the front dining room and parlor.>>back to top

Rooms at Meridan Manor

There are 6 individual guestrooms, 2 each on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Details of each room follow below. We have limited off street parking, 2 garaged spaces, available by reservation for $15 per night. Some of our guest rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests, well-behaved children of all ages are welcomed. For those parents traveling with infants, we can provide a portable crib, at no additional charge.>>back to top

Chocolate Room

The largest of our guestrooms, this second floor room faces the front of the house, overlooking 16th Street. The room is furnished with a queen-sized bed, sitting area with 2 sleeper sofas and a corner decorative fireplace. The font bay window also offers a pub style table and chair. Wireless Internet access is complimentary as well as television with cable. This room includes a private en suite bath.>>back to top

Slate Room

Also located on the second floor, this room is situated in the rear of the house. We have also furnished this room with a queen-sized bed. A decorative fireplace and sleeper sofa make for a cozy sitting area. Wireless Internet access is complimentary as well as television with cable. Master Suite

Located on the third floor, and facing the front of the house, this guestroom features a queen-sized bed and master bath with double vanities. There are 2 very large closets and separate bath/shower and toilet areas. As with all rooms, wireless Internet is complimentary as well as television with cable.>>back to top

Suede Room

This third floor guestroom is located in the rear of the home, and similar to all rooms, is furnished with a queen-bed. The sitting area of this room includes 2 wingback chairs, perfect for reading a good book. As with all rooms, wireless Internet is complimentary as well as television with cable. Yellow and Grey Rooms

These two guest rooms are located on the 4th floor of the house. Each room is furnished with a queen-sized bed, and color television with cable. The two rooms share a bath located just outside the rooms. There is also a large sitting area on this floor with 2 sleeper sofas and a large dining table. These rooms can be reserved individually, or as a suite with the sitting room private for your party.>>back to top

The Apartment

This much coveted accommodation is a fully furnished and private entranced 1 bedroom apartment. Sleeping accommodations for up to 5, a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, and laundry facilities, make this the perfect spot for families or visitors on an extended stay. Since the apartment has use of the kitchen, breakfast is not normally included. Guests, who wish to enjoy breakfast in the main house, can be accommodated with advanced notice and a small extra fee.>>back to top

Our rates are seasonal, and based on the number of persons traveling and length of stay. Please use the availability link to see specific rooms available for your travel dates as well as rates.
